Drinking tea from a Samovar was a tradition symbolising the Russian hospitality. This object brought people together, engaged a social and collaborative situations. This ritual disappears with the industrialisation of the Samovar : today, we use its electric version - the kettle. It reflects our lifestyles that are becoming more individual and solitary.
The graphic work decomposing the traditional Russian pattern called Gjel, is symbolising the human values that are erasing with time.
